Topic: "I Will Trust In The Lord"
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6
From the desk of Pastor T.C. Johnson
Proverbs 3:5-6 (CEV) 5 With all your heart you must trust the LORD and not your own judgment. 6 Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (ETRV) 5 Trust the LORD completely, and don't depend on your own knowledge. 6 With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way.
Proverbs 3:4 (TLB) 4 If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. 6 In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.
The recent elections in America have caused deep uneasiness, and serious anxiety due to uncertainty about what the future holds for both the country and the world. The situation has, for some, caused a crisis of faith. There are people who question God’s sovereignty and others being challenged on the belief of whether God exist at all. And it is all because the election did not turn out the way they prayed, hoped, and wanted it to, and in my humble opinion, should have. All the stress, anxiety, fear, sadness, anger, and any range of other emotions may be an indication that entirely too much faith has been put in an already flawed system. I know a people who every branch of the American Government at every level were against. These are people who trusted in God, in fact, God was there only hope. They held on to God’s unchanging hands, believing the Lord would make a way somehow. These people’s children have experienced so many blessings, material and socially, because of past generation’s unwavering faith in God. Could it be that their offsprings have placed their faith, allegiance, and trust more in the blessings than the Blesser? Many are more worried and concerned about what they may lose in the future than what many have walked away from or taken less seriously, God. Listen, I don’t know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future, I will trust in the Lord!
Be Blessed!
