Sunday Message Summary

Speaker: Pastor T.C. Johnson

Date: Sunday, November 3, 2024

Topic: 2 Corinthians 12:1a

Scripture: "My Grace Is Sufficient For You"

From the desk of Pastor T.C. Johnson

In the text God did not answer the Apostle Paul’s request the way that Paul desired, yet God Answered. Paul saw his problem as a hindrance and a handicap to his ministry. He knew he would be better and therefore his ministry work would be more effective if God would just answer his prayer the way he wanted.  The text implies that Paul because of pass work and experience expected God to move the way he desired. Paul makes the request three times only to hear the words of the text, “My grace is sufficient for you.” It is surreal to know that this message was preached to people who were so hopeful that the outcome of our national election would be a victory for women in general and black/minority women specifically. Everything made the election outcome seem to be a shoo-in and very few were worried. But God did not remove the thorn and on Wednesday morning the level of disappointment was immeasurable. There was sadness and gloom and even tears but most of all the confusion of why, how could this happen?!!! The Lord says, “My Grace is sufficient for you.”

Be Blessed!

Pastor T.C. Johnson

Youth Sermon Overview

From Kaiden (Age 13)

The sermon was based on 2 Corinthians 12:9. The scripture says “My grace is sufficient for you.” I learned that God's grace has gotten many people out of bad situations. I learned that you’re supposed to have a personal relationship with God. I also learned how younger people are becoming less religious.
