Sunday Sermon - November 16, 2025
|
Speaker: Pastor T.C Johnson
Date: Sunday, November 16, 2025
Topic: "The Journey to Due Season"
Scripture: - Galatians 6:7-9
Scripture Reading - Galatians 6:7-9 7. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Sermon Summary
This message was delivered on Represent your School Sunday, a day that celebrates the matriculation of students at local schools. There were many students present and some were first-generation college students from modest beginnings. The focus was to convey to believers in general but young believers specifically that God has set a law in His moral Universe; ‘whatever a person sows or plants in life, that is what they will reap or harvest in life. There is some truth in the saying that people want to become overnight successes or have a desire for immediate gratification. While that may happen for a few but most of us have had to navigate the journey from planting to harvest or due season by doing the right things along the way if we want a good harvest. The journey is the period of preparation for desired success and destiny.
The farmer’s journey includes but is not limited to preparing the soil, planting the right seed in the soil, fertilizing the soil, having patience through the germination process, keeping the weeds out of the soil and more. In due season the farmer expects and anticipates reaping from the harvest that is produced. The text suggests that being materiality self-centered and all about things of the world will lead to bad or corrupt things but, living with a spirit to please and glorify God while not despising small beginnings, being thankful for the lessons and provisions that God gives along the way will keep us humble as we appreciate ‘Due Season.’
Be Blessed,
Pastor TC Johnson

November is National Family Caregivers Month
|
National Family Caregiver Month is celebrated every November to recognize and honor the contributions of family caregivers across the United States. This observance aims to raise awareness of caregiving issues, educate communities, and increase support for caregivers, who number over 63 million in the country. It is also an opportunity to promote mental health, encourage respite care, and remind caregivers to take care of themselves. Various organizations and programs, including the VA Caregiver Support Program, participate in activities to support and honor caregivers during this month.

Hey Family! Just a reminder that the open enrollment period for Medicare begins today and goes thru Dec 7.
This is for start date Jan 1 2026. Please be sure to review your plan and any changes that will take place next year. A lot of changes will take place next year. Some surprises that could be disruptive: your copay may increase, your provider may not be covered anymore, your plan may no longer be offered in your area, your meds may be in a different tier than before causing a change in price, the deductible could have increased. These changes won’t really be announced
My suggestion- get a list of your meds, get a list of your providers (primary care and any specialists you expect to see for any reason), any procedures/treatments expected, etc and find that letter from September if you have it (from your current plan) to review any changes. Or call 1-800-Medicare (633-4227)
