Sermon Summary: "What Good Is Your Christianity?"

In Matthew 5:13, Jesus declares, "You are the salt of the earth." This powerful statement reminds believers that Christianity is not merely a personal faith but a life that positively influences others. Just as salt preserves, enhances flavor, and creates thirst, Christians are called to preserve godly values, bring hope to a hurting world, and inspire others to seek Christ.

Jesus also warns that if salt loses its distinctiveness, it becomes ineffective. Likewise, when believers compromise their faith or fail to live according to God's Word, they lose their spiritual influence. Christianity that remains hidden or inactive fails to fulfill its God-given purpose.

The question, "What Good Is Your Christianity?", challenges every believer to examine whether their faith is making a difference in their home, church, workplace, school, and community. Authentic Christianity is demonstrated through love, integrity, compassion, service, forgiveness, and a willingness to stand for righteousness.

Our lives should reflect Christ so clearly that others experience His love through our actions. The world needs Christians who are more than church attendees—it needs disciples whose lives preserve truth, spread hope, and point others to Jesus.

The St. Luke Christian Church Music Ministry is excited about presenting music that uplifts and blesses everyone.  We are growing and looking for new members for all ensembles. If you are interested in joining, please reach out to Reverend Marvis Moore via 256-721-1294.

The food pantry hours are Monday - Wednesday from 9:30am - 2:00pm to serve our community. Donations to the pantry are always appreciated so if you would like to donate, feel free to bring those donations during pantry hours and one of our volunteers will be happy to receive them.
